Warning bars- What are they?

Warning bars are something the staff of Slick Graphix uses to keep track of members of the site who have commited a offense. They are also to show other users if the person has a "good" warning level, or a "bad" warning level.

How do I attain points on to my Warning Bar?

There are a variety of ways a user can gain "bad" points onto their warning bar. What follows is a list of possible ways to gain points, and the number of points recieved.

  • Posting topic/post in wrong section*: 2 points
  • Not following format when making requests*: 2 points
  • Profanities*: 2-3 points
  • Disrespectful Usernames*: 2-4 points
  • Disrespect to a staff member/user*: 3-6 points
  • Derogatory comment*: 3-6 points
  • Spam posting*: 3-6 points
  • Unauthorized access/forum security: 4-10 points
  • Advertising: 4-10 points
  • Plagiarism: 4-10 points
  • Forgery or impersonation: 5-10 points
  • Harassment/racism: 5-10 points
  • Porn/sexually offensive materials: 5-10 points
  • Offensive images/shock sites: 5-10 points
  • Illegal use of site: 10 points/Immediate Termination
  • Evading bans: 10 points/Immediate Temination
  • Other offenses not mentioned: 1-10 points

All offenses are not listed above. Point values may change depending on severity of offense and number of times repeated.

How do I remove points off of my Warning Bar?

Not all points can be removed from a users account. The ones said above ended by "*" may have the possibility to be removed once attained. All deductions of point values will be determined by a qualifying official.

Consequence Guidelines

Once a user recieves a certain amount of points, his privelages will be taken away. The following lists these privelages.
  • 5 points: Ability to post taken away for 48 hours.
  • 6 points: Ability to post taken away for additional 72 hours.
  • 7 points: Three (3) day suspension from forum activities.
  • 8 points: Additional three (3) day suspension/admin review.
  • 9 points: Two week suspension from forum activities/admin review.
  • 10 points: Immediate account suspension/admin review.

Additional consequences may apply.

How do I appeal a ban/suspension?

If a user thinks he has been wrongly accused of an offense, he may appeal his ban. To do so, please send an email to igsupportstaff@gmail.com In the email, please state the following:

Code:
Forum Username:
Amount of time Banned/Suspended:
Reason for Suspension:
Why are you appealing this Suspension:

To appeal points added to your account, please contact a staff member.

All said above terms and conditions are subject to change without notice. Please check back frequently to see an updated list of rules/consequences. If you have any questions about the above said conditions, please contact IG_Fractality through a PM.

Can we somehow make it like a karma system? (reputation system)
I see that we can get negative points but somehow can we make positive points to?
It can represent the individuals track record. Yeah yeah I know suggestions section but I'm on my iPhone right now and I don't want to load a whole forum up.

Well you see, through good behavior some points can be deducted. I don't think it is a good idea for someone who makes racist comments, and is harmful to the forum community to be given a second chance. Depending on the severity, a user should be punished accordingly.

Some new users, can gain points from requesting in the worng section, this is so they will learn. Those points however, can be deducted.

I meant like, there can be a positive and negative side to the bar.

People can deduct points from their start of 0, and go in the negative (Negative Rep)
While good users can add points to their start of 0, therefore going in the positive. (Positive rep)
Each type of rep, reflects what each individual is like in their activity, and behaviour towards the community.
